<div data-element-id="elm_U8kNhhpQQq-GY8sGFCMpBw" data-element-type="text" class="zpelement zpelem-text "><style> [data-element-id="elm_U8kNhhpQQq-GY8sGFCMpBw"].zpelem-text { border-radius:1px; } </style><div class="zptext zptext-align-center " data-editor="true"><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:400;">Amazon is one of the largest online retailers in the world, offering a vast range of products for purchase. However, there are some products that cannot be sold on Amazon, either due to legal restrictions, safety concerns, or the company's policies. Some of these products are outlined below.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;"><span style="color:rgb(234, 119, 4);">Illegal Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia</span><br></span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:400;">It should come as no surprise that Amazon does not allow the sale of illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia on its platform. This includes anything related to the production, sale, or consumption of drugs, including pipes, bongs, and vaporizers. Amazon takes these restrictions seriously and employs sophisticated algorithms and human reviewers to ensure that these products do not appear on its platform.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;color:rgb(234, 119, 4);">Offensive Products</span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:400;color:rgb(234, 119, 4);"><br></span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:400;">Amazon also prohibits the sale of offensive products, which include anything that promotes hate speech, violence, or discrimination. This includes Nazi or other hate-related memorabilia, as well as any products that promote racial, gender, or religious intolerance. Amazon also has a zero-tolerance policy for products that glorify violence, including items that are intended for self-defense, such as pepper spray or tasers.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;color:rgb(234, 119, 4);">Tobacco Products</span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:400;color:rgb(234, 119, 4);"><br></span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:400;">While Amazon does allow the sale of some tobacco-related products, it does not permit the sale of cigarettes, cigars, or chewing tobacco. The sale of e-cigarettes and vaping products is also tightly regulated, and sellers must follow specific guidelines to ensure their products meet Amazon's requirements<span style="font-weight:bold;">.</span></span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;color:rgb(234, 119, 4);">Prescription Medications</span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:400;color:rgb(234, 119, 4);"><br></span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:400;">Amazon does not allow the sale of prescription medications on its platform, except for a limited number of pre-approved over-the-counter medications. This policy helps ensure that customers are not exposed to potentially dangerous or counterfeit medications.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;color:rgb(234, 119, 4);">Hazardous Materials</span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:400;color:rgb(234, 119, 4);"></span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:400;color:rgb(234, 119, 4);"><br></span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:400;">Amazon has strict policies on the sale of hazardous materials, including products that are flammable, corrosive, or toxic. This includes products such as aerosol cans, gasoline, and certain types of batteries. Amazon also requires sellers to follow specific packaging and shipping guidelines for hazardous materials, to ensure the safety of customers and employees.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;color:rgb(234, 119, 4);">Stolen Items</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:400;">Finally, Amazon prohibits the sale of stolen items, and works closely with law enforcement to identify and remove such products from its platform. This policy helps to protect both buyers and sellers from fraud and other illegal activities.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:400;">In conclusion, while Amazon offers a wide range of products for purchase, there are certain items that are prohibited from being sold on its platform. These include illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia, offensive products, tobacco products, prescription medications, hazardous materials, and stolen items. By enforcing these policies, Amazon helps to ensure the safety and well-being of its customers and employees, while maintaining the integrity of its platform.</span></p><h3 style="margin-bottom:4pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;">Join the AMZ Business Academy</span></h3><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:400;">Apply to Join the AMZ Business Academy and learn how to sell on Amazon in a painless and practical way!&nbsp; Just </span><span style="font-weight:bold;color:rgb(234, 119, 4);"><span style="font-size:11pt;text-decoration:underline;"><a href="https://www.amzbusinessacademy.com/free-amazon-training" title="Apply Now" target="_blank" rel="">Apply Now</a></span></span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:400;"> and we'll be in touch as soon as possible!</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:400;font-style:italic;">Please note the AMZ Business Academy is an independent Consultancy is not associated with or endorsed by Amazon in any way.</span></p></div>

With millions of users worldwide, Amazon provides a platform for sellers to showcase their products and connect with customers. I have outlined some of the key steps on how to get started selling on Amazon.</span></p><ol><li><p></p><div style="color:inherit;font-size:11pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;color:inherit;">Choose your selling plan: Amazon offers two different selling plans for sellers. The individual plan charges a per-item fee and is ideal for sellers who plan to sell fewer than 40 items per month. The professional plan charges a monthly subscription fee, but it is a better option for sellers who plan to sell more than 40 items per month.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:14.6667px;"><br></span></div><p></p></li><li><p></p><div style="color:inherit;font-size:11pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;color:inherit;">Create your seller account: To start selling on Amazon, you will need to create a seller account. This process is straightforward and will require some basic information such as your name, email address, and business information. Once your account is created, you can start setting up your product listings.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:14.6667px;"><br></span></div><p></p></li><li><p></p><div style="color:inherit;font-size:11pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;color:inherit;">List your products: When listing your products on Amazon, it's essential to create accurate and detailed product listings. This includes providing high-quality product images, writing clear and concise product descriptions, and providing accurate pricing and shipping information. By creating a professional product listing, you can attract more customers and increase your chances of making a sale.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:14.6667px;"><br></span></div><p></p></li><li><p></p><div style="color:inherit;font-size:11pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;color:inherit;">Manage your inventory: Amazon provides tools to help sellers manage their inventory, including tools to track inventory levels, create restock alerts, and manage shipping and fulfillment. By keeping track of your inventory, you can avoid stockouts and ensure that your products are available for purchase.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:14.6667px;"><br></span></div><p></p></li><li><p></p><div style="color:inherit;font-size:11pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;color:inherit;">Optimize your listings: To increase your sales on Amazon, it's important to optimize your listings for search. This includes using relevant keywords in your product titles and descriptions, and taking advantage of Amazon's advertising tools to promote your products to a broader audience.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:14.6667px;"><br></span></div><p></p></li><li><p></p><div style="color:inherit;font-size:11pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;color:inherit;">Fulfill orders: Amazon offers several fulfillment options, including Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA), where Amazon handles the storage, packing, and shipping of your products. Using FBA can help streamline your operations and increase your chances of winning the Buy Box, which is the box on the right-hand side of the product page where customers can quickly add your product to their cart.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:14.6667px;"><br></span></div><p></p></li><li><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"></p><div style="color:inherit;font-size:11pt;text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;color:inherit;">Provide excellent customer service: Providing excellent customer service is key to building a successful Amazon business. Respond promptly to customer inquiries, provide accurate information, and resolve any issues or complaints promptly. Positive customer feedback and reviews can help you build trust with potential customers and increase your sales over time.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:14.6667px;"><br></span></div><p></p></li></ol><p style="text-align:left;color:inherit;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">In conclusion, selling on Amazon can be a profitable venture for individuals and businesses alike. By following these steps and best practices, you can create a successful Amazon business and reach a larger audience of potential customers.</span></p><h3 style="text-align:left;color:inherit;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;">Ready to sell products on Amazon?</span></h3><div style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:15px;">Join our free Amazon Training Online Programme</span></div><p style="text-align:left;color:inherit;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-style:italic;color:inherit;">Please note the AMZ Business Academy is part of The Advice Centre Limited, an independent Consultancy and is not associated with or endorsed by Amazon in any way.</span><br></p></div></div></div>

To book a call with our lead Amazon Consultant Alex Shelton visit The AMZ Business Academy.</span></p><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;">Step 1: Find your Product</span></h3><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Whether you have an existing ecommerce business or are completely new to selling online, you will need to find the right products to sell.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">When choosing a product to sell on Amazon it is crucial that you recognise the characteristics of a good product. Products that have low seasonality, are small and lightweight, simple to manufacture are a good starting points to get the juices flowing!</span></p><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">There are plenty of really useful tools out there to help you with your product research, here at the AMZ Business Academy we have our own internal tools that help to determine whether a product has potential to succeed on Amazon!</span></p><p></p><div style="text-align:left;"><br></div><div style="text-align:left;"><br></div><p></p><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;">Step 2: Set up an Amazon Seller Account + Learn The Platform</span></h3><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">To get started you will need an Amazon Seller Central Account. When creating your account make sure that all of your details entered are correctly and are accurate to avoid any complications in the future.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Learning the Amazon platform is arguably one of the most important steps. Its crucial sellers understand the platform along with all of Amazon’s rules and guidelines, missing this step could result in your seller account being suspended if rules are violated!</span></p><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;">Step 3: Fulfilment by Amazon</span></h3><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">FBA stands for Fulfilment by Amazon and is an e-commerce fulfilment programme.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Amazon FBA (Fulfilment by Amazon) assists sellers with product storing, packaging, shipping, returns and customer service. It is not a requirement to use this feature as many smaller sellers opt for a Self-Fulfilment process. Self-fulfilment allows the sellers to package and manage their products without using Amazon services.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">The Amazon FBA Programme, however, does come with many benefits, you can let Amazon take control of the Fulfilment and you can then concentrate on the Marketing of your products…I like to call that the fun stuff!</span></p><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">It’s no secret that Amazon FBA (if you have the right products) enables sellers to sell products in larger volume, stress-free!</span></p><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;"><span style="width:624px;"><img src="https://lh7-us.googleusercontent.com/Nx3_0LqqcgpMSdApRKwa4s4ANMrGecvao5MvAUI4k4ZFG2OQ6hQNYlIVmfC9uWk621_zQJTAJqIT-c74pTDuM_oEt9GmR4FdVlpp0w_CRwPg8m79uW9HhTVJARSRTaDwKyD1v9MQrZSI9REujbOybW4" width="624" height="231"></span></span></h3><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;">Step 4: Advertising and Branding</span></h3><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">The next steps to investigate when starting an Amazon Business is Advertising and Branding.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Amazon Ads work in a Similar way to Google Ads, when users search in keywords in the Amazon search box and products appear, some are at the top of the results, some are in the middle and some towards the bottom. Amazon offers different types of Ads for sellers to use that will suit different business approaches.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">• Sponsored Product Ads - Sponsored product ads are Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising that promotes a singular product. Amazon requires a minimum daily budget; however, you only pay when a shopper clicks onto your ad. These are ideal for any Amazon business with a new product to enable you to drive more traffic to your product listing on Amazon. You can achieve your business goals with Amazon Sponsored Products and measure your performance alongside. Sponsored product ads are commonly the most commonly used ad on Amazon as you do not need to be ‘Brand Registered’ to use them.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">• Sponsored Brands Ads – Sponsored brands are banner ads that include a brand’s logo, message, and products in Amazon’s search results. Again, these Ads work on a Pay Per Click basis and Amazon requires a minimum daily budget.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">• Product Display Ads - Product display ads use Pay Per Click to promote your product by targeting a shopper’s interests or similar products to yours and usually display on the right sidebar under the “add to basket“ button. With interest-based targeting, Amazon targets shoppers by their overall interests. These types of Ads help your company reach a wider audience and build your brand. Once again Amazon requires a minimum daily budget.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"></p><div style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Branding is key to showcase what is unique about your company. When building a brand for your Amazon Business, it is important you make your brand values visible. A brand should be consistent, this can be done</span></div><span style="font-size:11pt;"><div style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">through logos, infographics, or a brand phrase. Products from the same brand tend to share a common name, logo, or other identifying mark that appears on the product or its packaging and differentiates those products from competitors.</span></div></span><p></p><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;"><span style="width:624px;"><img src="https://lh7-us.googleusercontent.com/cXAswnwzHJhXR-TIi0hFQdoAYHjNa3SqMxzr826sCKnaTezzYt0EQruBDJMXfR_2Sr5Oa5fe7L5pNuR-MXGAsNCr-9Fns8tcIxP_2h6zhK9ijf5oiWcg755xicsMgajjdVt4mBx8UYpxcU8g21-firI" width="624" height="416"></span></span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br></span></span></p><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;">Step 5: Expanding Internationally</span></h3><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">You may choose to sell in the Marketplace closest to you to begin with e.g. Amazon.co.UK, however, in the future you may decide to sell on Amazon’s other Marketplaces across the Globe e.g. Germany, USA, Australia etc.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">It’s important to understand that every country is different and therefore will have different product laws, languages, custom charges, and spending trends but being an Amazon Seller doesn’t restrict you to just one Marketplace!</span></p><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;"><span style="width:624px;"><img src="https://lh7-us.googleusercontent.com/by0u7RZJLnF_nMcCXqzkW8_Rr8tkc1e6RH1hMe5XJRta1CGawvTmOfEqK9dTky7yb_BX3dnj85EkW99JjxUFuDjMB_Id1qfeBgE0xlXWPqVA6IcsmVIK5tWpm22iXTDFkIKp090D62Wv63H0-qPYDlk" width="624" height="416"></span></span></h3><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;">Amazon Training and Support</span></h3><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">The AMZ Business Academy helps anyone looking to start their very own Amazon Business.
